Action "Charity is a sign of morality"
The foundation began 2020 by distributing the second stream of food baskets to low-income families. Recall that in 2019, the fund launched a charity campaign "Charity is a sign of morality", which includes providing 100 needy families with food baskets for 1 year. The purpose of the action is to help people, save money on products and send them to solve other vital issues. In order to cover a larger number of families, it was decided to change the lists of recipients every year. At the end of 2020, some families were able to pay off their debts, pay for the treatment of children and purchase expensive medicines with the money saved. At the same time, since 2020, the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" fund has begun to support the "Kausar" fund with food, which provides for 90 children. In total, since 2019, the foundation has distributed 1,400 food baskets and fed 200 families.

Boarding house "House of Blessing"
A separate direction of the fund is to support children from disadvantaged families. The boarding house "House of Blessing" operates under the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" foundation, where more than 30 children are brought up. It is important for the fund staff not only to help a child get out of a difficult life situation, but also to prepare him for adulthood and develop his talents. Therefore, children on an ongoing basis participate in various competitions and competitions. At the beginning of 2020, the pupils of "House of Blessing" took part in the next competition called "BRIGHT STAR 2020". The children were preparing hard for the performance. They delighted the audience with a song performance and won prizes, which made their teachers proud.

Fight against Covid-19
2020 has been one of the toughest years, mainly due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The trouble came to Kazakhstan in mid-March. No country in the world was ready for a pandemic, so cardinal and united actions of all Kazakhstanis were required. Then, at the call of the First President of the country N. Nazarbayev, many businessmen came to the aid of their compatriots. The Bolat Nazarbayev Public Foundation contributed to the fight against a dangerous infection by allocating 150 million tenge. These funds were used to combat the consequences of the coronavirus.

Humanitarian aid to Maktaaral
The next shock of 2020 for the people of Kazakhstan was the flood in the Maktaaral district of the Turkestan region. On May 2, large water burst from the Sardorba reservoir of Uzbekistan covered more than 1,000 houses in the Maktaaral district, leaving families homeless, on the street, without food and water. The "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" Foundation, along with all Kazakhstanis, could not stay away from this tragedy and was one of the first to respond to help by sending 20 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Maktaar. It was important for the management of the fund to be at such a moment next to compatriots and make sure that none of the families affected by the flood was left without attention. In addition to food, the fund provided financial support to affected families in the amount of 100,000 tenge. After addressing the primary consequences of the flood, the foundation committed itself to building 20 houses for flood victims. And after 5 months, after the construction was completed, 20 families found a roof over their heads.

Children's camp
Every year, the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" foundation organizes summer and winter camps. In 2020, 60 children from low-income families, including children from families affected by floods in the Maktaaral district, were sent to rest in the summer camp "OFFLINE demalike". In the camp, the children were able not only to relax on the picturesque summer pasture of the Almaty region, improve their health, but also make new friends.

Donation in honor of Kurban Ait
In 2020, the sacred holiday of Kurban Ait fell on the period of quarantine in the country. In such a difficult period, socially vulnerable segments of the population especially needed help. If earlier during Kurban Ait, low-income people could come to the mosque and receive sacrificial meat, then in 2020 the process was a little more complicated. Mosques were closed and gatherings of people were prohibited. In this regard, the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" fund independently purchased livestock, held a sacrifice and distributed sacrificial meat to 100 poor families in honor of the sacred holiday.

1,000 laptops for school children
The danger of contracting the coronavirus forced schoolchildren to switch to distance learning this year. However, not everyone has computers. Children from low-income families began to experience difficulties in acquiring knowledge. To solve this problem, the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" fund purchased 1,000 laptops and distributed them to excellent students, schoolchildren from low-income families in the Almaty region and Almaty through akimats. After all, one of the priorities of "SaliqalyUrpaq (Decent generation)" is the education of a worthy and educated generation of Kazakhstanis.

Opening of a new mosque
Spiritual development is a separate area of the Public Foundation "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)", within the framework of which a number of projects are being implemented. One of them is the construction of mosques. In total, with the support of the fund, 3 mosques were built in Almaty and Almaty region. In 2020, the third Taube mosque was built using the allocated funds of the fund. The mosque is located in the city of Taldykorgan. Its construction began in 2018. 50 acres of land were identified in advance. On the site are located: the building of the mosque, the office of the imam, taharatkhana (a place for ablution and preparation for prayer). The mosque has two minarets 40 meters high. The diameter of the dome is 18 meters, the height is 10 meters. For a comfortable stay of believers in the mosque, a ducted air conditioning system was used, in all prayer halls there are heated floors. The religious building can accommodate up to 3 thousand believers at the same time.

Public Foundation planted 1,000 seedlings of different tree species
In the autumn season, the "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" Foundation planted about 1,000 seedlings of different tree species in the village of Shamalgan. Poplar, pine, maple, derain, fir-tree, mountain ash, elm, willow, catalpa, vesicle, ash seedlings will start flowering in 2021 and will delight local residents. According to the foundation's idea, young trees will ennoble the area and have a positive impact on the ecology of the village. Part of the trees were planted along the central streets of Shamalgan Zhibek Zholy and Alzhan ana for sound insulation, dust retention from the road and creating an aesthetic appearance.

100 grants for future readers of the Koran (kari)
And in conclusion, on December 21, the last stage of awarding educational grants to one hundred talented kari took place in Almaty. Students of madrasahs from different cities of Kazakhstan became the owners of grants in the amount of 300 thousand tenge. The award ceremony took place in several stages. Madrasah students thanked for their support.
