The Public Fund "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" distributed food baskets to 100 low-income families

On January 27, Bolat Nazarbayev Public Foundation "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" distributed food baskets to 100 low-income families within the framework of the charity event "Kaiyrymdylyk - Adamgershilik Belgisi". The event was attended by the head of the social welfare department of Almaty Nazira Togizbayeva, the deputy head of the social welfare department Daniyar Alkebayuly, the director of the public fund "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" Kassym Kassabekov and others.

We have been implementing the campaign for the third year. Lists of recipients of food baskets are formed by akimats, mosques and transferred to us. The main goal of the campaign is to provide families in need with free products during12 months. The food basket itself consists of 15 items: butter, flour, sugar, vegetables, cereals and more," Kassabekov said, adding that with the permission of the akimat during the quarantine, the fund helped compatriots and delivered food to needy families at home. To date, families who cannot pick up food baskets themselves, are provided with home delivery.

During the pandemic, our patrons, sponsors provided great assistance to those in need, thereby showing the unity of all the people of Kazakhstan. I would like to say thanks aufully to the Bolat Nazarbayev Fund "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" for helping compatriots in such a difficult period.

It is also worth pointing out that Almaty City Akimat is always ready to support charitable social initiatives," said Nazira Togizbayeva, Head of Almaty City Social Welfare Department.

It should be noted that the action of the public fund "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" "Kaiyrymdylyk - Adamgershilik Belgisi" has been held for the third year in a row since 2019. It aims to provide 100 low-income families with food every month during one year. Every year, the lists of recipients of food baskets change. This action allows families not to spend money on products during 1 year, but to direct them to solve other vital issues.

Thanks to the action"Kaiyrymdylyk - Adamgershilik Belgisi", a number of families were able to solve financial issues, complete the long-awaited repairs, purchase medicines and start their own business. To date, Bolat Nazarbayev Public Foundation "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" has distributed more than 1,400 food baskets and covered 1,189 people with food.
