Public Foundation "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" (Saliqaly Urpaq) organized a summer camp for children
The Public Foundation "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" organized a summer recreation camp for children from large and disadvantaged families in the picturesque summer pasture of Almaty region.
In order to inculcate national culture and develop patriotic qualities in children, the"Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" foundation purchased trips for sixty children from Turkestan and Almaty region to the "OFFLINE Demalike" camp. Twenty of them are schoolchildren affected by the natural disaster in Maktaaral district.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and quarantine restrictions, the children's holiday camp was organized later than planned. Nevertheless, the organizers managed to prepare the camp for the arrival of the children. As a place to put the camp organizers chose one of the most picturesque summer pasture of Almaty region, which is surrounded by a charming nature of lakes and mountains.

In the camp, children participated in various sports activities and national games such as Kazakh wrestling, tug-of-war, horse races, hunting with a golden eagle and others.
At the summer camp, which was organized with the support of Bolat Nazarbayev, children participated in sports and athletic contests and traditional Kazakh games: tug-of-war, hunting with a golden eagle, Kazakh wrestling, archery, horseback riding, and more.
During ten days children could develop their communicative skills on the courses of oratory skill. Rakhat Tynyshbek, whose family was affected by the flooding in Makhtaaral District, said the location of the camp was very beautiful, and the counselors never let the children get bored. There were various competitions and contests every day at the camp. The children participated in national games and hikes in the mountains.
A medical officer was at the camp to check on the safety and general condition of the children, and the cooks prepared healthy meals for the children. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout the ten days of the camp.
One of the counselors, MirasKanatuly, noted that, creating the summer camp, the organizers aimed not only to improve the health of children, but also to give them a fun, unforgettable holiday. The camp is created in national style, to attach children to Kazakh traditions and to instill love to culture of native land.
The Bolat Nazarbayev Foundation actively supports schoolchildren. Previously, the foundation distributed a thousand new laptops for free to students from large and low-income families in the Almaty region so that they could study remotely during quarantine.
The "Saliqaly Urpaq (Decent generation)" Charitable Foundation was founded in 2016. The main tasks of the foundation include support for low-income families, the disabled, veterans, and orphans, who are assisted with food and medicines. The foundation regularly allocates money for the education of children from large families and supports folk ensembles. The foundation has also sponsored the construction of several mosques in Kazakhstan. BolatNazarbayev is a regular sponsor of cultural and sporting events in the Almaty region.
